Or email: enquiries@stonor,com
Our opening times are listed here: http://www.stonor.com/plan-your-day/opening-times/
Please note, the Gardens and Wonder Woods have different opening days and times to the House, Chapel and Pantry so please check carefully before you visit.
Directions can be found on our main website: www.stonor.com/plan-your-day/find-us/
Please note, there is very little mobile signal or data reception in the area so SatNavs often struggle to find us, or may take you to another part of the estate rather than the main entrance.
We are clearly signed from Watlington and Henley (on the A4074).
If you are approaching Stonor on the M40 motorway from the East and are using a Satellite Navigation system please ignore any instructions to exit the motorway on either Junctions 4 or 5 as this will add up to an hour to your journey. Please only exit at Junction 6.
You will be emailed an order confirmation that will include your unique Booking Reference Number and a barcode that also contains this number. You may make a note of this number and take with you when you visit Stonor in place of a ticket, although we suggest printing out the email as this will grant you quicker access.
Please bring your reference number to the Visitor Centre where they will give you additional information about your visit.
On completion of your order, you will be emailed a DigiTicket containing a barcode and booking reference number. Present this ticket on arrival, or if you don’t have a printer, simply make a note of the Booking Reference Number and bring it to the Visitor Centre.
Tickets can be purchased from the Visitor Centre.
You do not have to print out the 8 digit booking reference – simply make a note of the Booking Reference Number and take it with you, coupled with some ID.
We guarantee full ticket refunds if we have to cancel an event or close any part of Stonor Park.
Unfortuntatly we can not dictate the Great British weather and if bad weather affects the day of your visit or any event at Stonor we are unable to offer a refund.
The house is still the family home of the Stonor Family so the Wonder Woods, gardens and grounds are not accessible to the public outside of our opening times.
There is a public footpath which runs through the estate which is accessible 24/7 from the main road and there is a layby for parking nearby. However the grounds and car park on the estate are only available to paying visitors.
Unfortunately we are not able to offer our full range of tickets tickets online at the moment. However you can buy these on the day in the Visitor Centre (please see our main website for all ticket options http://www.stonor.com/plan-your-day/prices/)
As the house is a collection of medieval buildings behind a Georgian facade, it is not suitable for wheelchairs as even the ground floor is not on one level. To see the first floor there are flights of stairs - one up and another down.
The gardens are manageable for visitors with disabilities, however all our paths are gravel and there are some steep slopes.
The Wonder Woods are not accessible for wheelchair users as there are steep slopes and no designated paths in the play area.
Everyone's disability is individual and there are chairs/benches at intervals for visitors to rest. Guide dogs are allowed in the designated areas of the park but must be on leads at all times. For further information please call the Visitor Centre on 01491 63427 or the office on 01491 638587.
Dogs are allowed on the estate, but must be kept on leads at all times. They are not allowed into the House, Formal Gardens or Wonder Woods, however there are ‘Dog Parking’ stations outside each area.
We have a large car park for customers at the Visitor Centre at the top of the drive. This is only accessible during our opening times.
We have two cafes available, depending on when you visit. Please see our main website for details of our opening times: http://www.stonor.com/plan-your-day/opening-times/
The Chiltern’s Pit Stop Café is open when the Wonder Woods and Gardens are open to the public. They serve take away teas and coffees, cold drinks and ice cream.
The Pantry Café is only open when the house is open to the public and serves afternoon tea and cake.
We have free wifi for customers in the Visitor Centre and the Pantry Café. However we have very little mobile service or data reception on site.
There are no trains or busses to Stonor.
You can get a taxi from Henley-on-Thames Station which will cost approximately £15.
We keep lost items in the Visitor Centre for 1 month after they have been left.
